DAY 01: ARRIVAL TRANSFER TO NEGOMBO

On arrival, you will be met by our English speaking Chauffeur Guide and the Airport staff who will offer assistance before driving you to Negombo, affectionately named the Little Rome of Sri Lanka. A quiet coastal town in close proximity to the airport.

In the late afternoon you will do a city tour of Negombo which will cover some of the highlights of Negombo such the Negombo Fish Market, the Dutch Fort and St. Mary's Church. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, settling in and adjusting to the local surroundings. You may also choose to indulge in delicious seafood which Negombo is known for.

DAY 02: KANDY

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel in Negombo, you will begin your journey towards the historic city of Kandy which is the last capital of the ancient kings of Sri Lanka and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Kandy is known for its rich cultural heritage, historical significance, and beautiful surroundings.

Upon reaching Kandy, you will check into your hotel and have the rest of the evening at your leisure. Take this opportunity to explore the city and immerse yourself in its vibrant atmosphere. You can visit the local markets, indulge in traditional Sri Lankan cuisine, or simply relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area.

If you wish you may witness the Kandy Cultural Show in the evening. It is a spectacular show of dance, acrobatics, costumes and music thats unique to Kandy.

DAY 03: KANDY

After enjoying a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Kandy, you will embark on a day of exploration in this culturally significant city.

Begin by strolling through the streets of Kandy, where you'll find colonial-style buildings that reflect the city's history and charm. Immerse yourself in the local atmosphere, interact with friendly locals, and take in the unique sights and sounds of the city.

Next, you will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, also known as Sri Dalada Maligawa. This sacred Buddhist temple is one of the most revered religious sites in Sri Lanka as it houses the tooth relic of Lord Buddha. Marvel at the intricate architecture, intricate paintings, and elaborate decorations as you learn about the significance of this revered relic.

After the spiritual experience at the temple, you will visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, located just a short drive away from Kandy. Spread across 147 acres, these gardens are known for their impressive collection of exotic flora, including orchids, palms, and giant bamboo. Take a leisurely walk amidst the serene surroundings, enjoy the vibrant colors, and breathe in the fragrant air.

In the evening, you will return to your hotel in Kandy, where you can relax and freshen up.

DAY 04: KANDY - NUWARA ELIYA

After a delightful breakfast at your hotel in Kandy, you will leave the city behind and make your way towards the misty mountains of Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as "Little England".

En route to Nuwara Eliya, you will have the opportunity to visit a lush green tea plantation. You will also have the chance to learn about the tea manufacturing process, gaining insights into how some of the world's finest tea is produced.

Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, you will check into your hotel. Nuwara Eliya offers a unique blend of natural beauty and colonial charm, and you can explore the town at your own pace our driver guide will drive you through the city of Nuwara Eliya and around the Gregory lake, you may choose to hop off and hop on the vehicle as you choose.

DAY 05: NUWARA ELIYA - BENTOTA

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel in Nuwara Eliya, you have the option to embark on an exciting trek to Horton Plains, a breathtaking nature reserve known for its stunning landscapes and biodiversity.

After exploring Horton Plains and immersing yourself in its natural wonders, you will continue your journey to the southern coastal town of Bentota. Bentota is known for its pristine beaches, water sports activities, and tranquil river views.

Enjoy the evening at your leisure, whether it's strolling along the beach, indulging in water sports activities, or exploring the town's attractions. Bentota offers a range of experiences, from relaxing spa treatments to thrilling adventures on the water.

Note: The trek to Horton Plains is optional and requires a moderate level of fitness. It's important to check the weather conditions and availability in advance. If you prefer not to trek, you can spend the day exploring Nuwara Eliya or visit other nearby attractions such as the Hakgala Botanical Garden.

DAY 06: BENTOTA

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel in Bentota, you will embark on a visit to the Geoffrey Bawa Gardens. These stunning gardens, named after the renowned Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, are known for their harmonious blend of architecture and natural beauty.

Take a leisurely stroll through the gardens, immersing yourself in the serene surroundings and appreciating the meticulous design. Admire the beautiful landscaping, tranquil lake, and vibrant flora that create a peaceful oasis. You may also choose to have a picnic in the gardens, enjoying the tranquility and natural ambiance.

In the afternoon, you will have free time to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Bentota. Relax on the golden sands, soak up the sun, and take refreshing dips in the sparkling waters of the Indian Ocean. Indulge in water sports activities such as snorkeling, jet skiing, or simply unwind with a good book.

DAY 07: DEPARTURE TO AIRPORT

Your tour ends this morning after breakfast and your transfer will be provided to the airport in time for your departure flight if time permits you can also go on a city tour of Colombo and stop for some last minute shopping.

Alternatively you can choose to extend this tour with a stay at any of the options available in Sri Lanka or the Maldives.
