Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVAL TRANSFER TO COLOMBO

Welcomed by our representative on arrival at Colombo International Airport and transferred to your selected hotel in Colombo. Take an afternoon city tour of this port city favored by merchants of ancient era. Drive past the scenic Beira Lake in the heart of the city, the War Memorial, Public Library, National Museum, Nelum Pokuna Theatre, Vihara Mahadevi Park, Colombo Town Hall, and many more historical and important landmarks and places that add to the interesting tapestry of life within the city limits of Colombo.

Head back to your hotel for the overnight stay in Colombo.

DAY 02: COLOMBO - KALPITIYA

After breakfast take a leisurely drive along the west coast of Sri Lanka as you make your way to Kalpitiya. Optional stops en-route include visits to a clay tile factory in Dankotuwa, the Holy Cross shrine and Munneswaram Kovil in Marawila and St Anneâ€™s shrine in Talawila. Make a visit to the salterns in Puttalam which has the perfect conditions and resources required for the natural production of salt.

Check in to the hotel of your choice for your overnight stay in Kalpitiya.

DAY 03: KALPITIYA - WILPATTU

After early breakfast take a boat ride to see dolphins in their natural habitat. Depending on your luck and time of year you may also get a chance to see whales. Explore the islands and mangrove swamps of Kalpitiya before you make your way to Wilpattu for the overnight stay.

Check in to your hotel of choice for the night in Wilpattu.

DAY 04: WILPATTU - NEGOMBO

After breakfast take a safari of the Wilpattu National Park. The Wilpattu National Wildlife Park which is the largest wildlife park in Sri Lanka is home to at least 30 mammals including the elusive Sri Lankan leopard, sloth bears and elephants.

Proceed to Negombo in the afternoon for your overnight stay at the hotel of your choice.

DAY 05: DEPARTURE FROM NEGOMBO

Your tour ends this morning after breakfast and your transfer will be provided to the airport in time for your departure flight.

Alternatively, you can choose to extend this tour with a stay at any of the options available in Sri Lanka or the Maldives.
