Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVAL TRANSFER TO NEGOMBO

Welcomed by our representative on arrival at Colombo International Airport and transferred to your selected hotel for the overnight stay in Negombo. Take an afternoon city tour of Negombo to explore this fishing village including some of its colonial history.

Make your way back to your hotel for the night in Negombo.

DAY 02: NEGOMBO - ANURADHAPURA - POLONNARUWA

After breakfast leave for Anuradhapura for a city tour of this ancient capital. Take a tour of the sacred city of Anuradhapura and explore its well-preserved ruins.

Proceed to Polonnaruwa and check in to your hotel of choice for the overnight stay.

DAY 03: EXPLORE POLONNARUWA

After breakfast take a city tour of Polonnaruwa. Explore this 11th century AD Capital which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Return to your hotel in Polonnaruwa and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 04: POLONNARUWA - SIGIRIYA - DAMBULLA - KANDY

After breakfast leave for Sigiriya to visit the rock fortress and palace complex. Climb the UNESCO World Heritage site of Sigiriya to explore the remains of the palace and fortress. Proceed to Dambulla to visit the Rock cave temple before heading to Kandy for the overnight stay. Take an evening city tour of Kandy which ends with the cultural dance performance.

Return to your hotel in Kandy for the night.

DAY 05: EXPLORE KANDY

After breakfast take an excursion to Pinnawela Iperanigama which depicts life in Sri Lanka in the 17th and 18th centuries. Proceed to Peradeniya botanical gardens and explore the wide variety of plant species on display.

Return to your hotel for the overnight stay in Kandy.

DAY 06: KANDY - NUWARA ELIYA

After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya. Enroute visit a tea plantation and tea factory where you can quench your thirst with a cup of refreshing Sri Lankan tea. Learn about the perfect tea leaves for plucking, the blends and production process before enjoying the perfect cup of Ceylon Tea. Take a city tour of Nuwara Eliya which is reminiscent of an old English village.

Check in to your hotel of choice for the overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 07: NUWARA ELIYA - KITULGALA - COLOMBO

After breakfast leave for Colombo via Kitulgala. Opt for the route via Kitulgala and be inspired by the natural beauty of the location for the film 'Bridge over River Kwaii'. Experience the hustle and bustle of the commercial capital of Sri Lanka with a city tour of Colombo.

Check in to your hotel of choice in Colombo for your overnight stay.

DAY 08: DEPARTURE FROM COLOMBO

Your tour ends this morning after breakfast and your transfer will be provided to the airport in time for your departure flight.

Alternatively, you can choose to extend this tour with a stay at any of the options available in Sri Lanka or the Maldives.
