Overview

This tour covers the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka including visits to Sigiriya Rock Fotress, Polonnaruwa Ruin City, Kandy Temple of The Tooth. Also the tea country landscape in Nuwara Eliya and two wild life safaris in Kaudulla Naitonal Park and Yala national park. Ending with a two night beach stay. Itinerary

Day 01 - Arrival and transfer to Negombo

Welcome on arrival and transfer to Negombo. Overnight in Negombo.

Day 02 - City tour of Negombo

Once the PCR test results are ready, you will go on a city tour of Negombo while seated in your vehicle to explore this
fishing village including some of its colonial history.

Day 03 - Drive to Dambulla, climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress

After breakfast leave for Dambulla, check in to your hotel. In the late afternoon proceed to Sigiriya to visit the rock fortress and palace complex which is another UNESCO world heritage site. The climb to the summit of this rock may require some effort but the views from this vantage point are sure to take your breath away. overnight stay in Sigiriya.

Day 04 - Safari in Kaudulla Naitonal Park, Excursion to ruined city of Polonnaruwa

After breakfast takes an excursion to Polonnaruwa for a city tour of this ancient capital which was the backdrop for the Disney movie 'Monkey Kingdom'. In the afternoon visit the Kaudulla National Park where elephants are often viewed in their natural habitat. Return to your hotel in Dambulla for your overnight stay

Day 05 - Drive to Kandy, visit Temple of the Tooth and Peradeniya Botanical Gardens

After breakfast proceed to Kandy. Get a glimpse into Sri Lankan culture and heritage as you tour the last capital to have fallen to colonial invaders with an evening city tour of Kandy. In the evening visit the Peradeniya botanical garden which includes more than 4000 species of plants and visit the Temple of the Tooth which is located in the royal palace complex which houses the Relic of the tooth of Buddha. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 06 - Drive to Nuwara Eliya, Tea country sight seeing

After breakfast proceed to Nuwara eliya. Enjoy the breath-taking scenery as you proceed to your hotel of choice for the overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya. Take an afternoon city tour of Nuwara Eliya and explore the quaint English village atmosphere which is a legacy of British rule in these tea covered hills while seated in your vehicle. Dinner and overnight at in Nuwara eliya.

Day 07 - Drive to Yala, Safari in Yala national park

After breakfast direct drive to Yala, enjoy the senerary and the changes in geography back to flat land. Do an afternoon safari in Yala National park. Popular for its Elephant and Leopard sightings, catch a glimpse of these creatures roaming the wild. Dinner and overnight in Yala.

Day 08 - Drive to Ahungalla, visit Galle fort

After breakfast direct drive to Ahungalla via Galle. On the way drive through Galle Dutch Fort while you are seated in the car which was build in the 17th Century by the Dutch still stand majestically protecting the Galle city, a harbor town. Rest of the day relax. Dinner and overnight in Ahungalla.
