Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVAL TRANSFER TO SIGIRIYA

Welcomed by our representative on arrival at Colombo International Airport and transferred to your selected hotel in Sigiriya where you will be based for the next two nights. In the afternoon leave for a city tour of Polonnaruwa and return to your hotel in Sigiriya for the overnight stay.

Explore the ruins of Polonnaruwa city, an 11th century AD capital declared as an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

DAY 02: EXPLORE SIGIRIYA & MINNERIYA

After breakfast take a tour of a rural village in Sigiriya and experience a ride in a bullock cart as you explore Sigiriya. Savour a traditional home cooked lunch in a village setting and learn about the local cuisine and spice use. In the afternoon proceed to Minneriya National Park for a safari. The afternoon safari at the Minneriya National Park is best suited to view elephants in their natural habitat.

Return to your hotel of choice in Sigiriya for the overnight stay.

DAY 03: SIGIRIYA - DAMBULLA - NEGOMBO

After breakfast visit the Sigiriya Rock fortress and palace complex which dates back to the 5th Century AD. Climb the Sigiriya rock to view the ruins of the fortress and palace complex. Proceed to Dambulla for a visit to the rock cave temples which date back to the 1st Century BC. Explore the Dambulla caves where the vibrancy of the ancient murals on the ceilings are sure to amaze you.

Proceed to Negombo for an overnight stay in the hotel of your choice.

DAY 04: DEPARTURE FROM NEGOMBO

Your tour ends this morning after breakfast and your transfer will be provided to the airport in time for your departure flight.

Alternatively you can choose to extend this tour with a stay at any of the options available in Sri Lanka or the Maldives.
