Itinerary

Days 01: ARRIVAL TRANSFER TO KANDY

Welcomed by our representative on arrival at Colombo International Airport and transferred to your selected hotel in Kandy. An afternoon city tour of Kandy gives you the opportunity to see the fascinating cultural performance. Visit the temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic which was built as part of the Royal Palace of Kandy in the 18th century. Take a drive around the scenic Kandy Lake including upper lake drive to get a birdâ€™s eye view of this bustling city which is also known for its arts and crafts.

Return to your hotel for the overnight stay.

DAY 02: KANDY - DAMBULLA - SIGIRIYA

After breakfast leave for Sigiriya with a visit en route to the Dambulla cave temples. These caves date back to the 1st century BC house around 150 Buddha statues and murals that adorn the cave ceilings. In the afternoon proceed to Sigiriya to visit the rock fortress and palace complex which is another UNESCO world heritage site. The climb to the summit of this rock may require some effort but the views from this vantage point are sure to take your breath away.

DAY 03: EXCURSION TO POLONNARUWA

After breakfast takes an excursion to Polonnaruwa for a city tour of this ancient capital which was the backdrop for the Disney movie 'Monkey Kingdom'. In the afternoon visit the Minneriya National Park where elephants are often viewed in their natural habitat.

Return to your hotel in Sigiriya for your overnight stay

DAY 04: POLONNARUWA - ANURADHAPURA - NEGOMBO

After breakfast leave for Anuradhapura for a tour of this ancient capital. This city which is sacred to Buddhists is the perfect place to admire the ancient architectural marvels of stupas, edifices, and hydraulic achievements. Complete your tour with a visit to the Isurumuniya rock temple and the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi.

Proceed to Negombo for the overnight stay in your hotel of choice.

DAY 05: DEPARTURE FROM NEGOMBO

Your tour ends this morning after breakfast and your transfer will be provided to the airport in time for your departure flight. Alternatively, you can choose to extend this tour with a stay at any of the options available in Sri

Lanka or the Maldives.
